Formerly known as Gwyn's High Alpine Restaurant and located mid-mountain at the Snowmass Ski Area, this high alpine dining experience seats 850 guests and is the largest of Aspen Snowmass’ on-mountain restaurants. This renovation exposed massive wood columns and beams, which were sandblasted to their natural light-colored wood and revealed an almost cathedral-like volume to the space.

 

The renovation along with 2,000 square feet addition has been extremely well-received by the thousands of visitors each year, as well as Aspen Skiing Company and the original family-owners. The rustic character has been retained by with 2 new levels of refinement. The now “Marketplace” server (High Alpine Marketplace) is much more efficient, and the expanded bar, lounge, and gourmet dining area (Alpin Room) have all been successful. A bar, a wood burning stove and big screen TVs, as well as satellite bar and coffee station downstairs, are favorite Apres destinations.
